DESIGN 3403/3556 Experiential UX Design for Visual Communication and Experiential Media Design Majors. Sophomore Studio. (Newly developed class)
Co-taught with Prof. Yvette Shen
Taught interdisciplinary collaborative sophomore studio that designs 2D application interface and spatial environment interactive experiences design. Students design hybrid systems across screens, space, and behavior, using user research, Figma, and Wizard-of-Oz prototyping to create clear, meaningful interactions that go beyond the screen and unfold across real environments.
DESIGN 3453 UX/UI Design for Campus Life App Service in Visual Communication Design. Sophomore Studio
Co-taught with Prof. Yvette Shen
This class teaches interactive brand experiences. Students design brand for mobile application service for campus life from user research, to user scenario, user persona, user flow, sitemap, wireframe, information architecture, UX/UI Design, Color Theory, Symbolism, Typography, Grid System, Style Guide, Figma, and mobile application prototyping to create meaningful service for college student life.
DESIGN 3200 Design Research in all design majors Sophomore Studio.
Co-taught with Instructor Camille Snyder
Co-developed the course and class activities to teach foundational practice of design research. Introduced research methods like observation, user data collection(interview and survey), data visualization with storytelling, visual frameworks and synthesis, user testing, and presentation. Students completed fieldwork and collaborative projects, learning to translate findings into design opportunities.
