I am a designer, researcher, and educator-in-the-making, currently pursuing my MFA in Design Research and Development at The Ohio State University.
My research explores how generative AI is shaping the future of the design industry and how design education can evolve to integrate these advancements meaningfully. With a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I have built a diverse career spanning freelance work, project management at an established design firm, and leading a design team at a Korean tech startup.
My expertise lies in brand identity design and development, having worked on projects for global corporations like LG Healthcare, small businesses in Korea and the U.S., higher education institutions, and government agencies such as Incheon Port and the National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea. Beyond branding, my portfolio extends to web design, UX/UI solutions, and comprehensive visual communication systems.
I am passionate about mentorship and supporting non-profit organizations through design, believing in the power of design to create meaningful social impact. As I advance in my academic journey, I aim to bridge industry knowledge with education, shaping future designers through innovative pedagogical approaches that reflect the rapidly evolving design landscape.
